A very belated "Happy New Year" to all. I hope your festivities were fun, and that 2015 has started well for you. As you can tell from the two month silence, I have been incredibly busy. I thought that it would be good to write things down - mainly for my own sanity, but perhaps you might be interested, too!
First up, I am very excited that Dorothea's Boat is going to be released in less than a month. The limited edition risographic prints are in the print queue in an artisan print shop in Edinburgh, and the postal boxes are ready to be filled. If you want to hear a few samples from the record, you can hear them on the store page, or by clicking below:
The video for the lead song, "Dorothea" is currently being pieced together. It isn't like any of the other David Lawrie videos, but there will be no clues until it is nearly ready. I really can't wait to share it with you all.
Second on the agenda is my trip back to England in March, when I will be producing new artist Eleni Skarpari, aka EchoWants Her VoiceBack's debut EP/mini album. It is going to be a busy month for me!
Finally, some of the powers that be are pressuring director David Diley to complete his debut feature, Of Shark And Man, which means second hand pressure for me to finish up the sound design. I am excited that "Storm Petrel" will be featured on the film, as well as some original compositions that I will be finishing over the coming weeks.
I am going to say that it will all be done by the end of March. There we go. I said it. There is no going back, now.
OK. I should sleep because I have to be up early to head over to South Lake Tahoe to do some mystery music work at Tahoe Production House.
