November is drawing to a close and so is the last bout of mild weather. More snow is forecast tonight and tomorrow. If the last couple of years in Connecticut are anything to go by, it'll probably stay for the duration. The snow from a couple of weeks ago was probably a small warning.
Oh well. Good job I love snow, isn't it?!
I'm wrapped up warm in my living room and my cat, Azzy, is vying for my attention. It's the end of the day and what better time to write some ramblings for the website?
This is Azzy. Her eyes look slightly green in this picture, but in reality they are as blue as a sky of azure. Hence her full name - Azurite.
I recently received an email from the Sound Archive at The British Library. The curators of the Popular Music archive requested copies of my previous albums to feature in their catalogue.
What a compliment!
I am as confused as anyone as to how they came across me - a relatively unknown artist - in the vastness of this cyber ocean, but find me they did. I had to check around to see if it wasn't just a blanket email for them to try and get some material to buffer up the catalogue, but no, it seems that this is all very genuine!
I've continued the dialogue with them, but it looks like I am going to donate the music. I think I'd be mad not to.
Those who are subscribed to my mailing list will have seen that "I have some exciting news that I can't wait to share with you…"
…well the British Library thing is one of those exciting pieces of news, and there is quite a bit more to unfold over the coming weeks and months, but I shouldn't just blab it all out in one go now, should I? That would just be daft.If it snows like the weather man says it will, I might go out for another walk in the morning to take some pictures again. If it doesn't, I might go for a walk anyway.
One final thing. Here in Connecticut people seem to put their Christmas decorations up as soon as Hallowe'en has come and gone. I am sure it is possible to see the lights on the house across the road from space. Please tell me that you are all waiting until at least the start of December to put your decorations up!
That's all for now, folks.
Until next time…
